The APFF is a charity that belongs to professional Firefighters. It’s 830+ members are full-time, part-time or retired firefighters. It is a not-for-profit charity comprising Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS), Adelaide Airport and other professional Firefighters from across South Australia who volunteer their time to fundraise for the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Burns Unit, burns and road trauma survivors, community education and assistance, as well as firefighters in need and their immediate families.
According to the Rules of the Australian Professional Firefighters Foundation, ordinary membership is available to full time professional firefighters as well as persons who are engaged in firefighting activities for reward but on a part-time basis and any retired firefighter.
